Mexico: Azul oscuro

Desalojos violentos en Montes Azules, Chiapas, para abrir paso a plantaciones forestales, de agrocombustibles y proyectos turísticos

Bajo el pretexto de “reforestar” el área y establecer centros turísticos privados en Montes Azules, estado mexicano de Chiapas, se han sucedido en los primeros días del año desalojos forzados a comunidades locales.

Participaron en las acciones policías estatales y federales, tropas del Ejército, funcionarios del gobierno, camarógrafos y periodistas, que sobrevolaron la zona en varios helicópteros, aterrizaron y se aprestaron a incendiar las viviendas de los pobladores en varios puntos del municipio de Ocosingo.

Los poblados afectados por tal política de parte del Estado mexicano son: 6 de Octubre, San Gregorio, Nuevo San Gregorio, Ranchería Corozal, Suspiro, Buen Samaritano y Laguna San Pedro y Salvador Allende, entre otros. Varios de esos poblados que vienen siendo barridos son bases del Ejército Zapatista de Liberación Nacional (EZLN).

La repudiable masacre de Bahía Portete perpetrada el 18 de abril de 2004 por el Bloque Norte de las llamadas Autodefensas Unidas de Colombia (AUC), que arrojó, según versiones oficiales, como saldo trágico cuatro mujeres y un hombre Wayúu muertos, dos mujeres Wayúu desaparecidas y un número nunca establecido de desplazados, si bien ha sido la masacre que más visibilidad y notoriedad públicas ha alcanzado, no fue ni la primera que ocurrió ni tampoco la que más víctimas fatales acarreó de todas las que, sobre todo en su etapa de penetración y consolidación, cometieron las estructuras paramilitares contra comunidades del pueblo Wayúu de La Guajira.
