Al parecer el gobierno de Obama ha dado luz verde a Israel para que ataque a una flotilla desarmada que lleva a activistas por la paz y los derechos humanos –incluido un barco con 50 estadounidenses a bordo– a la sitiada Franja de Gaza. En una conferencia del 24 de junio, la secretaria de Estado Hillary Clinton criticó la flotilla organizada por la Campaña Libertad para Gaza y dijo que “provocará acciones al entrar a aguas israelíes y creará una situación en la cual los israelíes tienen derecho a defenderse”.Clinton no explicó por qué un país tiene “derecho a defenderse” de barcos que obviamente no constituyen una amenaza.
